Weather protection: The high collar and a detachable, helmet-compatible hood with hidden adjustments both in front and back offer full protection against rain and wind. The jacket's foldable cuffs with integrated hand warmers protect your hands or gloves from cold and moisture. A hidden two-way front zipper, covered with a storm flap and snap buttons, ensures extra protection against rain and wind.

Functional design: Two opening vents with zippers on the back offer a flexible and comfortable fit. This design also allows for comfortable riding while the jacket covers the seat, perfect for equestrians.

Plenty of pockets: Large hand pockets with flaps and easily accessible side pockets. Two practical chest pockets hidden under a flap for keys or a mobile phone. A large back pocket provides space for storing a lead rope, gloves, or other riding accessories, and can also be converted into a pack bag for easy storage of the jacket.

The members of the Regular Sport Family are all lightweight rain and wind resistant garments which are flexible and nice to wear, but also easy to carry along. All Regular sport garments make a perfect wear all year around since the thin insulation makes it easy to add and remove layers depending on weather conditions.

Materials

Shell:

10/10 Polyamide, 100% Polyamide Ripstop with shiny surface, PU membrane.
Durable and lightweight 2-layer Polyamide material. Polyamides are known for their durability and resistance to wear and tear. They are commonly used in outdoor and performance clothing. Polyamide is a lightweight material that is stronger than polyester in relation to its weight. Also referred to as Nylon. Ripstop construction with a shiny surface makes the garments more resistant to tearing and ripping. Printed PU membrane to provide high water protection and breathability.

WP: 10 000 mm
Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day.

Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.

Insulation:

Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet condition and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
